The story of Prologo begins with Velo. Velo Saddles was founded in 1979 in Taiwan and grew to become the world's largest saddle manufacturer, producing around 15 million saddles per year as an OEM partner for dozens of brands.

In 2006, Velo launched its own premium brand: Prologo, with headquarters in Busnago near Milan. The mission was clear: to build a technology-driven saddle brand that stands out from the established names. From day one, Prologo worked with professional cyclists, with prototypes that were adjusted within ten days based on feedback from the peloton. This approach has led to victories in the Tour, Giro, and Vuelta over the years, alongside monuments and world titles.

The combination of Velo's production expertise and Prologo's Italian R&D gives the brand a unique position: advanced production technology, linked to development at the highest sporting level.

Prologo is structurally present in the professional peloton. In 2025, the brand was represented in all three Grand Tours. Among the sponsored WorldTour teams are INEOS Grenadiers, Groupama-FDJ, and Intermarché-Wanty. Jonas Vingegaard won the Vuelta 2025 on a Prologo saddle.
The range covers every discipline. The Nago R4 and Scratch M5 are the core models for the road, available in open (PAS) and closed variants. The AGX line focuses on gravel, the NDR line on cross-country and marathon. The Predator 01TT caters to time trial and triathlon. Proxim, powered by Prologo, includes gravity, enduro, and e-MTB saddles. Handlebar tape, grips, and gloves complete the offering.

Predator 01TT
The first integrated time trial saddle
The Predator 01TT is a patented time trial and triathlon saddle, developed with WorldTour teams and refined through CFD simulation and wind tunnel testing. An integrated carbon plate replaces the traditional rails for more direct power transfer and greater steering precision. The modular construction allows the plate and base to be separable for replacement and recycling.

With dimensions of 260 x 110 mm and a seating area of 170 mm, the saddle is ultra-compact. Side wings and a tapered rear section optimise airflow. A continuous PAS channel reduces pressure peaks. Available in standard and CPC versions with extra vibration damping and grip.

NAGO R4

T‑shape, semi‑round, multi‑discipline

NAGO R4 is the 'all-round performance' family for riders who like to vary their position: the T-shape provides space, the anatomical centre is positioned at the back so that the full saddle length remains usable, and the semi-round shape balances support and freedom of movement.

Within this family, the width/padding dictates the fit: 137 mm as a reference, and 147 mm for more support and a softer feel under higher loads.

NAGO R4 PAS 3D

3D-printed 3DMSS padding with Multi Sector System zones. Dimensions 245×137 mm; weight 155 g (Nack) or 195 g (Tirox). Long fibre carbon base + Nack makes it stiffer and lighter; injected carbon base + Tirox makes it less stiff and provides more cushioning.

NAGO R4 PAS CPC

Same basic shape and PAS, with CPC cover for more grip and vibration absorption; rails in Nack or Tirox.

NAGO R4 PAS 137 / 147

PAS channel for pressure relief, carbon base, choice between Nack or Tirox rails. The 147 version adds extra padding (more on the sides and top) for more comfortable pressure distribution.

Scratch M5

Round profile, extra lumbar support, versatile

Scratch M5 is the family for riders who are looking for a rounder support and more lumbar support, while maintaining freedom of movement through the T-shape.

The compact size (250×140 mm) makes it suitable for road, gravel, and XC/marathon, especially for riders who want to sit stably without a 'clipped-in' feeling. The choice within Scratch mainly revolves around cover technology (CPC or 3DMSS) and rail material (Nack or Tirox).

Scratch M5 PAS 3D

3D-printed padding with Multi Sector System; dimensions 250×140 mm; 176 g (Nack) or 209 g (Tirox). Long-fibre carbon base; rails in Nack or Tirox.

Scratch M5 PAS CPC

CPC cover for extra grip and vibration absorption, with PAS channel and round profile; designed to keep the position stable, even with reduced pelvic mobility.

  Scratch M5 PAS

PAS channel and round profile, compact 250×140 mm; unisex and widely applicable. In Nack version, a very low weight is communicated.

Dimension

Short nose, V-shape, forward position

Dimension is the 'short nose' approach: compact (245 mm length) with a V-shape and flat profile to support a more forward and aerodynamic position.

The concept is intended to be discipline-wide and aims for both comfort and performance, especially when a rider often adopts a more aggressive position. Within Dimension, the variants primarily determine the damping level (NDR/extra padding), the surface (CPC), and the rails (Nack/Tirox/T4.0).

Dimension 143

245×143 mm, V-shape and flat profile, PAS-channel; rails in Nack, Tirox or T4.0. Bases: carbon fibre or reinforced nylon.

Dimension 143 CPC

245×143 mm with CPC cover for extra grip and vibration absorption; rails in Nack or Tirox; carbon fibre base.

Dimension R2

245×143 mm, wide nose (40 mm) and 20% less padding at the back; PAS channel. Base: long fibre carbon at Nack, injected carbon at Tirox; rails Nack or Tirox.

Dimension ND

245×143 mm with an extra 3 mm padding and side protector; PAS channel. Rail options Nack/Tirox/T4.0; base carbon or reinforced nylon.

AGX

Adventure / Gravel / Cyclocross (Slide Control)

AGX is the line that is explicitly built for gravel, adventure, and cyclocross. The starting point is stability on rough terrain: more grip where you need it, without your pelvis 'sticking' or being forced to constantly change position.

In the latest AGX evolution, Slide Control is central: more saddle stability and less power loss due to unwanted sliding, with consistent grip that supports pedal efficiency when rhythm and terrain continue to change.

Nago R4 PAS AGX

Gravel version of the Nago R4 with a semi-round T-shape and PAS. Designed for riders who move around a lot on the saddle but want extra stability on gravel. Rail choice: Nack or Tirox (depending on the model).

Dimension R2 AGX

AGX variant within the Dimension philosophy with a focus on mixed terrain efficiency.

NDR

Off‑road (XC / marathon)

NDR is the off-road line that translates the familiar shapes (Dimension, Nago, Scratch) into cross-country and marathon. The aim is to be light, comfortable, and versatile, with models designed to dampen vibrations and avoid damage on rough terrain, while the basic fit of the road equivalents remains recognisable. This family includes both PAS models and a variant with Active Base technology.

Nago NDR (met en zonder PAS)

Semi-round T-shape for freedom of movement in XC/marathon; suitable for off-road use, but also appropriate for gravel and road according to the positioning.

Dimension R2 NDR

NDR development of the Dimension shape for off-road use, with an extra focus on comfort and cushioning on rough terrain.

Scratch NDR PAS

Round profile ‘T-shape’ with PAS in an off-road configuration, designed for riders seeking lumbar support and stability on rough terrain.

MyOwn Fitting System

MyOwn is the fitting system that Prologo uses to objectify saddle choice: not starting from a model name, but from body, discipline, and riding position. The system works in four steps. First, the discipline and level are determined, as a road position requires different stability and range of motion compared to gravel, MTB, or TT/tri.

Next, the measurement of the sit bone distance (ischial width) follows, so that the saddle width is correct and you do not "fall between" the saddle or experience too much pressure on the edges.

Step three is the assessment of pelvic rotation/lumbar flexibility: this determines which shape works best (round, semi-round or flat), as a stiffer pelvis rolls differently over the saddle than a flexible pelvis in an aggressive position.

Finally, BMI is taken into account to advise on the appropriate level of padding/firmness. The result is a consistent match between shape, width, and support, with less guesswork and fewer pressure or numbness complaints.

MSS divides the support into 5 independent zones; 3DMSS adds 3D-printed sectors with varying densities and elasticity coefficients for pressure zone-specific support.

PAS relieves the perineal area.

PAS is an open central channel that reduces pressure peaks and numbness and supports blood flow in a sensitive area.

Nack (nano carbon fibre: carbon fibre + Kevlar + aluminium filaments) focuses on maximum stiffness and low weight; Tirox (light alloy steel) aims for better vibration absorption and a strong weight/resistance balance.

In several models, the base construction runs along with the rail: long-fibre carbon (at Nack) and injected carbon (at Tirox); at Dimension, there is also a reinforced nylon base with a T4.0 rail for comfort and mechanical strength.

Shape-matrix that makes "fit" predictable.

The range uses fixed, repeatable profile and shape categories (T-shape with round or semi-round profile, and V-shape with flat profile) so that you can primarily make your choice based on pelvic support vs freedom of movement, before you fine-tune with rails, base, and cover technology.
