From Roots to the Tour: The Story of Caja Rural
In our campaign towards the Tour de France, we start from one clear thought: every top performance begins with a journey. Between classics like Liège-Bastogne-Liège and the biggest tour in the world lies a path of growth, experience, and vision. A team that perfectly embodies this is Caja Rural–Seguros RGA.
The history of Caja Rural dates back to the late 1980s, when the team took its first steps in the professional peloton. Over the years, it has gone through various phases: from a modest professional team to an amateur setup, and back to the professional level. This evolution characterises the team's DNA — flexible, resilient, and always focused on progress.

What makes Caja Rural unique is its consistent focus on training and talent development. Instead of solely aiming for immediate results, the team has built a sustainable structure in which young riders have the opportunity to grow. Many riders take their first steps towards the highest level here, making the team an important link in international cycling.

Today, Caja Rural–Seguros RGA has grown into an established name within the ProTeam level, with a strong identity and clear vision. The team combines sporting ambition with social commitment and continues to invest in the future of the sport. With partners such as MMR, Vittoria, and Vision providing them with high-performance equipment, that ambition is reflected in every detail — an essential component on the way to the biggest stage.
